Blacksmith Fork Canyon... Visit to Grandpa!

Spent part of our weekend visiting our family in Utah. We made a visit up to see Grandpa May in the Canyon. Spent some time playinjg in the park while we were there. It was so nice to go to the mountians and to relax and visit for the afternoon! Here we all are playing at the park. Isaac and Charlie had fun playing on Grandpa's little motorcycle.

San Diego, Beach

One of our favorite days on vacation was visiting the San Diego, Beach. Isaac and Charlie loved running into the waves and playing in the sand. Nothing more relaxing then sitting on the beach and listening to the waves break....

Disneyland!

Just a few MEMORIES we had together at Disneyland... RIDES we loved were BUZZ Lightyear... Woody's Roundup was amazing... and Joe and Isaac thought the Indian Jones ride was the COOLEST! Here just a GLIMPSE of our three days of MAGICAL FUN!

Read, read, read....We LOVE to READ

We started the summer READING program through the local Library. Last week we went on a TREASURE hunt for SEA animals at the Library and this week we learned about clouds and rain... Isaac & Charlie made there first "Rain Makers"! Had a fun time picking out books together to bring home and read.

Summer Days...

SUMMER is finally here and we are ENJOYING spending a few of our mornings at TENNIS lessons.... Isaac and Charlie are having LOTS of fun... First day that we went Charlie was a bit scared to play so I stood by him for a bit... and then before I knew it, HE was bouncing around PLAYING tennis with all the other four year olds. I am so ENJOYING the quality time we are having TOGETHER and lingering around after tennis lesson to play in the PARK.... So thankful for SUMMER!!

Universal Studios

We started our day at Universal Studios watching the "Waterworld" show... It was an action packed show which of course any guy likes... So, of course Joe and Isaac really loved it! On our adventure to Universal Studios Isaac and Charlie met one of Charlie's favorite character's "Curious George"! Afterward's we went on the Universal backstage tour which let you see how the movies were made and we could see some of the stage lots... Jaws was the best part when he came out of the water..... Good times!! Afterward's It took some persuading to get Charlie to stand by Joe and the shark for a picture! Later we headed down to the lower lot of the park and Joe and Isaac rode "The Mummy" and they both agreed it was a pretty intense ride! Thankful for the Good times together! Love the memories we are sharing with our boys....

San Diego, Zoo

We weren't quite sure what to expect when we spent the day at the San Diego Zoo, but have to say, we all were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed seeing the animals. We loved seeing the Panda's! Couldn't believe they could actually sleep comfortably in the tree.. This panda was fast asleep and didn't seem to be bothered by all the people from the line who were talking and taking pictures... Amazing! Loved this snap shot of Joe and our boys by the Alligator section of the park... One of Joe's favorites to visit at the Zoo was the enormous elephants! Isaac and Charlie loved crawling all over the plastic Elephants.. Great relaxing day at the Zoo!

SeaWorld

Exploring SeaWorld with our boys was such a hoot... We had a great time watching them explore the place with great excitement! "Shamu" was the family highlight of the day of course... Isaac & Charlie were grinning from ear to ear watching the whales in action... oh, and of course eating there cinnamon popcorn! They loved riding the rides together and even met the "Famous" Polar bear!

Cedar Lanes

One of our FAVORITE bowling HOT spots is CEDAR Lanes.... Laid back family FRIENDLY enviorment and our BOYS love there BURGERS, FRIES & Old Fashioned SNACK bar... This place brings GOOD TIMES to our family every time we go. With Charlie's technique of RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN and drop the ball.. To Isaac's Side WhIneDERS... To Joe's HURDLING the ball HALFWAY down the lane and SMASHING the balls... To my very LAID back approach... (Aim for the center, let it LOOSE and let's just SEE what happens)... For our family BOWLING brings to us an evening of one HILARIOUS move after another.

Birthday WISHES...

Wishes of a "FOUR" year old on his BIRTHDAY... Charlie could HARDLE wait to open his PRESENTS... (DELIGHT radiated from HEAD to TOE that something came in the MAIL for him..... (THANKS to our Awesome families) So, for this year and turning the BIG 4 Charlie's Birthday WISHES were as follows, BIRTHDAY BREAKFAST (with pancakes), Preschool Party with FRIENDS.... (Which consisted of taking treats (Choc. Chip Cookies to his preschool buddies on this birthday!) ONE WORD for how he looked when I picked him up from preschool "BEAMING"! And his FINAL Birthday WISH was to go BOWLING as a family.... HAPPY to SAY all his Birthday WISHES were GRANTED... It's a BLESSING for us to Celebrate the LIVES of those who bring you so much LOVE, JOY and LAUGHTER to our day's....

Sweet Tooth

It's AMAZING how easy it is to please our SWEET Charlie. You'd a THOUGHT I gave him the WORLD when I let him pick the FLAVOR of his BIRTHDAY cake and told him he could HELP me make it.... Oh and the PURE delight that swept across his face when I mentioned the SPRINKLES!!! Charlie known for his SWEET TOOTH throughly ENJOYED cleaning out the BOTTOM of the Bowl....

Road Rash

So, last Saturday were clean clean cleaning out the GARAGE... What a PARTY... (FREE Labor welcome) For the first bit the kids were happily helping... But as we got into it a bit Charlie got a little BORED to say the least. So of course as happy curious four year old's are he decided to have a little fun and started running across to the neighbors house and back to see how FAST he could go... Foot attire : FLIP FLOPS! He seemed quite content running back and forth HAPPY as the day and then all the sudden we hear this HORRIFIC Scream... HEART DROPS.... Run over get him, Curl him in my arms and headed for the freezer and bandages.... Luckily to say, one fat lip later and a few scratches plus lots of loves from mom he was back to playing and running like nothing happened at all..... Have to say it pulled on the HEART strings to see him banged up....

The Golden Egg!

I am sure you can all remember those early morning Easter Egg hunts that we all so eagerly went to as kids.. I have to say that much has changed for me... I still love early morning Easter egg hunts and I have to say if they had a section for adults, I would be there with my BIG OL' Easter Basket. But of course as every parent must, we have to start living through our children in matters like these.... So we had a little Easter Egg hunt for just our little family and Isaac was the LUCKY ONE of the bunch to find the GOLDEN EGG.... And so of course as all Mother's do I took a quick snap shot of this very GREAT moment with Isaac and his new found treasure... The Golden Easter Egg!

Puppy Love!!

So, just the other day Isaac & Charlie had gone out back in the yard to play.... As I glanced out the window because it was SO QUIET I found two little boys who had neatly layed out my patio cushions for a bed for them and our dog Kiara. They were all tucked together in a blanket they had taken from the linen closest. It was so sweet to watch them with her and taking care of her and one another... Childhood moment-Priceless..

One Free Spirit!

Charlie loves riding his scooter. From the time he could walk he's been zipping around on it as fast as he could make it go... A little BOY who HAS a NEED for SPEED!

Mozart...

Isaac worked hard to learn his songs for his BIG recital day! He told us right before that it felt like he had Butterflies in his belly! He did great and was very BRAVE to go up in front of everyone. He was really so so nervous.... It was fun watching him preform and seeing the relief and delight on all the performers faces as they finished....

Coloring our World!

So, one of my favorite traditions that comes with Easter is of course "Coloring Easter Eggs"!! We boiled two dozen Eggs and went crazy coloring eggs! Here's a snap shot of a few of our eggs! It was a great way to spend the evening while Joe went to the General Conference Priesthood session... Any excuse to be a kid again and get a little messy...

"Viva Las Vegas"

Here are several snaps shots of our days out on the Las Vegas Strip! We went to the Paris Eiffel Tower, Venetian, Caesars Palace, M&M land...and the list goes on... To say the least we wore the soles off our shoes from walking....
